To find out why an inspection is not being auto-scheduled for an occupant:
- Start by looking at the inspection to see what forecasting criteria are being used.
- Once you identify the forecasting criteria being used, take a look at that forecasting criteria to see what field(s) is being used to generate the schedule.
- The most common metrics are 'Property User Types,' 'IFC Occupancy Class', and 'Occupant Risk Class'
- Make sure that designation of the occupant details screen matches one of the selected fields on the forecasting criteria screen.
- Once you have confirmed they are a match, click the Save Occupant button. This will refresh the auto-scheduling for this occupant.
- You can verify the inspection(s) has been scheduled by click the View Schedule for this Occupant button.
Example:
We have an occupant, the Thomas Yacht Club, that should be getting auto-scheduled for an Annual inspection.
- The first thing we should do is look at the Inspection Type from the Pick List Setup tab for the "Annual" inspection. (Go to Settings, Select "Annual" in the inspection type pick list and click the Edit Item button). Let us assume the Forecasting Criteria is set to Annual Inspection.
- Use the Cancel button at the bottom of the page to get back to the Pick List Setup tab. Use the Forecasting Criteria pick list to select the criteria used, in this case, "Annual Inspection," and click the Edit Item button.
- On the Forecasting Criteria Administration page, we see that the "Property Use Type" is the field being used for forecasting.
- When we double check the designation of our Occupant and we notice that someone has mislabeled the classification. Because this mislabeled occupant type is not included in the list of types used for the "Annual Inspection" forecasting criteria, it is not being auto-scheduled.
- Once we correct the property use type, one of the categories that IS included in the forecasting criteria, and save the occupant, it will automatically show on the schedule.
- Go back the Occupant Details page and click the Save Occupant button.
- You can verify that it is now on the schedule by clicking the View Schedule for this occupant button.
