Using the Locations, Structures, and Occupants screens

Overview

Your occupancy data is organized in three levels:

1. Location (street address)
2. Structure (building)
3. Occupant (business, tenant, or homeowner)

A location can have one or more structures.  

A structure can have one or more occupants.  

 

From the hamburger menu > Occupancy Data you can view the three levels of occupancy:

• Click on Location Data to find a list of street addresses that match certain search criteria.  
• Click on Structure Data to find a list of buildings/structures that match certain search criteria.
• Click on Occupant Data to find a list of occupants that match certain search criteria.  

Searching, Filtering, and Sorting

The Locations, Structures, and Occupants screens all use the same methods for searching, filtering, and sorting.

• Searching/Filtering - Click the funnel button in the upper left to slide out the filters.  The filters are organized in groups.  Click a group to see the filters in that group.  Enter your filter(s) and click Find or press Enter on your keyboard.  The number of matches to your search is displayed in the Matches box in the upper right.  Only a limited number of records are displayed at a time to speed up response time.  To switch between pages, use the Go To button in the upper middle of the screen to go from page to page.
• Sorting - Click on the column labels to sort the list by that field.  Clicking repeatedly toggles the sort between ascending (A-Z) and descending (Z-A).  If a column label is black instead of red, it means you can't click to sort.  For example, the Grid Data column on the Locations screen.  To sort by one of the Grid Data fields, use the Adv. Sorting button in the upper left.

Viewing Details:  To view the details on any Location, Structure, or Occupant, click on the pencil icon on the left.  The details will open in a separate window.  Clicking the X in the upper right of the details window will close it and take you back to the screen that is in the background behind the details window.

 

Returning to the Main Menu:  When you're on the Locations, Structures, or Occupants screens, you'll see the hamburger menu button in the upper left.  It is three horizontal white lines.  Click the menu button to slide out the menu.  The menu options can be used to jump to that each  level.  For example, if you're on the Locations screen, you can use the menu to jump to the Structures or Occupants screens.
