When you need to cite/reference a code or standard that is not on your shortlist, you can use the 'Search for a Code' feature to add codes to your shortlist.
Note: Codes will not automatically show on the report after you add it to the shortlist. Once on the shortlist, you must make that code as 'Pass', 'Fail', or 'NA' before it would show on the full inspection report.
- Click the Search for a Code button
- Click the Clear button to clear out the Group filter - NOTE: the group filter will default to whichever group you were in when you clicked the 'Search for a Code' button.
- Use the Source pick list to select which code set you would like to search
- Enter your keywords or code number in the Keywords input and click Search
- You can view the full text of the code by tapping anywhere in the row to highlight blue, then click the View Full Text button
- Make sure the checkbox is checked for any of the codes you want to add, then click the Add Items button - Pro tip: Note which group the code is in prior to hitting the 'Add Items' button. This is the group that you will find the code once back at the checklist screen.
- On the checklist screen, select the group for the code you just added. You can now mark P, F, NA for the code you just added to your shortlist.
Note: Codes will not automatically show on the report after you add it to the shortlist. Once on the shortlist, you must make that code as 'Pass', 'Fail', or 'NA' before it would show on the full inspection report.
