How to sync data with the web?

Fire Prevention Mobile (MobileEyes) has two components – the Web back office or administrative application and the mobile inspector application.  The two talk to each other through the data sync process.  This process is manual and must be triggered by the inspector.  It doesn’t happen automatically.  Inspectors should sync at the beginning and end of each day.

Follow these steps to sync your Inspector Mobile application with the Web:

1. Make sure your tablet or laptop has a Web connection. You can check by opening a browser and navigating to a Web site.
2. Open the Inspector Mobile application.
3. Tap the Hamburger menu in the upper left.
4. Tap Sync Data.

Inspector Mobile will upload any completed inspections first, then check the Web database to see if there is anything new to download.

Inspections that are in red in the Inspections area indicate that there are “must inspect” short list items on those inspections that have not been checked.  Red inspections will not upload.
